Oviedo's Spanish

His Spanish is horrible. I'm a native Spanish speaker and I can barely understand him when he says something in Spanish. They should have chosen a Spaniard for the role, or someone with a better accent.

Indeed.

He's black, that what matters. Who cares about looking Spanish or having a decent Spanish accent? The holy word is 'black', and when that word is pronounced, everything else must be left aside.

I don't know why they didn't cast a Spanish actress for Catherine as well. Certainly plenty of them speak English. How is the accent of the African woman? I find her very unattractive, they could have at least given the dude a pretty lady in waiting.

They picked that crazy chick from Game of Thrones.

At least Charlotte Hope could pass for somebody from the north of Spain. She looks more English, but she could pull that over.

You don't need to cast somebody that belongs to some specific ethnic or cultural group, but you need to cast somebody that could pass for a person of that group, and imitate the accent well enough.

It's like the Witcher series, that is supposed a fantasy version of Poland. And they've casted blacks, indians... but not a single actor that actually looks Polish (at least, among the main characters).

It's becoming ridiculous.
