Good enough for what it was... only minor quibbles

Barry Pepper gets his arm torn off, and a minute later he's fine with it as he shares a heart-to-heart moment with his daughter. Barry Pepper is Canadian. We're polite but tough AF.

The whole storm drain setup completely doesn't make sense. A drain that goes nowhere. It's above the basement water level in the house at one end, but still exits at street level at the other even though it slopes down. How does that work?

All that work to get out of the house and into the boat... A-N-N-D they end up right back in the house. A wasted opportunity for a movie one-liner.

Speaking of boat... trying to get to the boat, the father makes the point that 'gators are attracted to splashing so they have to walk slowly through the water. (I sort of thought this was true too, but I don't know for sure.) The pillaging mom in the boat... the lawman investigating the swings... the kid staring at the light in the basement window... none of them were splashing or even barely moving yet they all wound up as 'gator chow.

(BTW, flailing mom getting attacked and eaten, while oblivious son has his back turned was pretty funny...)

The ending... c'mon was I the only one expecting a last minute 'gator-jumps-out-of-the-water-to-grab-them-in-the-airlift scene?

Otherwise, entertaining B-flick...
