Loved the first 50 minutes, hypnotizing and full of kinetic energy. Felt raw and playful at the same time. The stylized credits that arrive midway are a blast. Last 45 minutes felt like every other Gaspar Noé film. Distorted white noise, the color red, nauseating camera movements and violence bordering on torture. It's might be his "Signature Style" but it is definitely not impressive in 2019.

I thought some of the violence in this film was highly disturbing.
But I have to agree those camera movements towards the end were unnecessary.
Having camera angles like that does not improve the film at all, so what is the point?

I believe the camera angles were there to keep the film congruent with the theme of being on LSD.

That is a fair point, but Noé does the same thing in I stand alone, Irriversible and Enter the void..

Fair point as well. I recall he did the same thing with those movies now that you mention it. Perhaps it appeals to a certain crowd? I don't particularly like it myself, either.
