Better than its IMDB rating...

BUT, it certainly has flaws beginning with its setup. A group of college-aged people who seemingly all hate each other or cheating on each other are supposedly all going on a ski vacation together. Yeah, the most unbelievable set-up and leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth from the start. Also, there isn't a character in the group that you can actually like. You hate them all, so there is no one for you to rally for. Besides that, the premise is pretty good and the setting interesting. Still worth watching. I would rate it a 6 being mostly average when taking the flaws into account.

I gave it a 7, I like this kind of film. I was probably a bit generous though after watching an hour of Mandy (Nicolas Cage) which was too surreal for me.

Although I rewound the end of ' Witches' several times, I couldn't make out the last sentence of the film where the girl was talking to the cop. I feel I may have missed out.

the girl says "I thought she was possessed" the cop asked what would make her think that and according to the subtitles she says "He... I guess they told me, I...." and that's it. I guess she was just saying she convinced herself the girl was possessed because the others were saying she was or could be.

Thanks for that.

I watched the film on the Horror Channel which doesn't have subtitling, well not on Freesat anyway. It's very annoying.

Hmm… I actually think the IMDb rating (4.3) is on point with this one. The concept was interesting, but story and writing were not good at all. For example, Almost all of the characters dislike each other. Why would they consent to going off the normal path, through a ‘do not enter’ chained off point when they clearly agreed that it wasn’t a safe choice?

In addition to that, it is strongly implied that Alison did, in fact, kill Bree. It cuts away, but Alison has a devilish smile after she lunges her face towards Bree. No person, under any circumstance would lunge at an individual like that without intent to harm. The problem is that this is never referenced again.

The final point is the hunter was honking his horn and could obviously tell that (and probably heard) the two were in a struggle and Jill was trying to stab Alison. Yet he waits until after Alison is stabbed by Jill to take any action. I guess I should put in here the ridiculously long shot of Jill going through the woods panting and falling over again and again. It must have been at least 2 maybe even 3 minutes long. There was zero suspense in this scene so it just came off as silly.

There are plenty of other points throughout that made no sense. The dialogue was well under average and, to be honest, the acting wasn’t all that good either.

The film was below average in my opinion. I think that the IMDb score is on point if not a tad generous with this one. Wouldn’t rewatch it or recommend it to others.
