You’re thinking small. I’ll top that & say why would you even invite ANYBODY to the house, especially a teenage girl to your home & NOT expect them to poke around & you know do exactly what you expressly warned them not to do?

Considering your reputation, the reputation of the house & the rumors of the room & what you have stored in there which every kid in the town had to have known. That’s freaking incredible! That’s like telling Annabelle, “My girl, you’re out for the weekend!”

You are missing the bigger issue. Why bother having multiple locks if you are going to keep all of the keys in the same spot? Having the keys nearby makes sense, but you should need to locate more than one to get past all of the locks. That would deter the casually curious.

Why not teach your child to get them instantly if strange shit begins happens... any good parent teaches their children not to talk to strangers. Shouldn't they teach their daughter what to do in case weird shit begins to happen?

... but than again, we wouldn't have much of a story if they were smart
