Oxygen Doesn't Burst into Flaming Liquid

Oxygen supports combustion (aka rapid oxidation). However, it does not blow up resulting into flaming liquid.

It sends a major shockwave when a canister catastrophically ruptures. It just propels the canister across the room if it just is pierced.

I wish movies would stop using oxygen canisters like jugs of 87 octane.

I hear ya. Same thing with Tasers. They don’t knock people out in real life. As soon as the current stops you are fully functional...and pissed off.

if you call all your muscles cramped and in pain as fully functional that is.

And if your muscles arent cramped then the voltage wasnt high enough.

There was oil underneath it but I haven't shot a oxygen tank with a large puddle of oil underneath so I don't really know.

well, the canister was sitting on top of some sort of chemical, which is what was flammable. The bullet hitting the canister could in theory cause an ignition spark. But yeah thats lottery winning level of gamble she did.

I agree. There was zero payoff.
