VOD!

Coming to VOD this coming Friday. The Invisible Man, as well.

19.99 for a 48 hour rental.

reply

That seems really overpriced for a rental.

reply

I agree. On one hand I get it because they lost money with theaters closing down and conceivably a dozen people could web watching one rental. But as someone who lives alone that seems high.

reply

19.99? Where did you get that information from??

reply

It's available on Amazon for that price...want to see it but that's expensive for a rental.

reply

This movie really couldn't catch a break.

reply

No, it really can’t. Maybe it sucks anyway but I think it deserves the opportunity to be seen.

The 20 dollar rental fee seems pretty steep but I’ve warmed up to it. I’ll probably check it out this weekend. 20 dollars to watch a brand new theatrical release isn’t crazy. I would probably spend about 30 with popcorn and a drink if I watched it in the theater by myself. It’s a great deal if multiple people want to watch it at home. My Daughter and I can watch for 20? Not bad.

We are getting very close to "Day and Date" movie releases, where movies are released on video the same day they come out in theaters.

reply

No we aren’t, the theaters being closed is why they’re coming to vod so quickly. You silly guy

reply

The time between theater and VOD has been getting shorter. Once people see movies hitting VOD this quickly, you think that they will be fine going back?

reply

Two very active torrents. Wonder if the studio will get the message on pricing.

reply

Be like me and buy the dvd.
