OK, but why was the *spolier* so different to guy that actually *spoiler*

So why did the kid that was killed by the police come back as this huge Jason Voorhees wannabe but with a plastic bag over his head? Obviously he was suffocated by a bag over the head so that's fair enough but having him be this huge guy was weird and only done to make it seem more intimidating from what I gather.

The death by suffocation raises another issue. Surely that would show up on the coroner's report rather than bleeding out from a GSW?
