Why not just take Grogu to Luke?

Luke Skywalker, hero of the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the first Death Star, and likely well known regarding the Battle of Endor which ended the Empire, should be well known throughout the galaxy either way, is training Jedi at this point, and is linked to the New Republic leadership.

It is only 5 years since the Battle of Endor and the destruction of Death Star II and the end of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader.

Why wouldn't Ahsoka Tano mention Luke to Mando at all? She would have been so dazzled to find another member of Yoda's species alive, that she probably would have gone with Mando and Grogu to see Luke Skywalker.

My goodness, Luke is a Jedi Master, trained by Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi, he would be the person to see regarding Grogu.

They could cast Sebastian Stan as a Young Luke Skywalker :)

I read that as Sebastian Shaw. 😀

Omg that would be great, i just compared pictures of their faces and Sebastian could totally pass for a young Luke, just make his hair like his, maybe a bit of CGI on his face to get him to look even closer to Hamill and i think it would look great.

Heres a side by side comparison

They have the same eyebrows, mouth, chin and eye color the way it looks.

It's not clear that she would know who he was or where to find him. The Jedi were pretty much wiped out at the end of the prequels. The original trilogy shows Kenobi and Yoda both in hiding, the world unaware that they exist. Kenobi dies the day he meets Luke, and when Luke later finds Yoda, he too dies without ever "getting back out there." By the end of the original trilogy, Luke is well-known among the rebel alliance, but he has no knowledge of, or contact with, any Jedi who are still out there.

In the recent trilogy, Jedi, and Luke Skywalker, still seem to be in the realm of stories one hears, with the general consensus being that it's all make-believe. So while we, the audience, are fully clued in, having seen 9 films that tell the story of the Jedi, a lone wolf Jedi who somehow survived the massacre, would probably not even know that Kenobi or Yoda had survived, much less that Darth Vader had a son who ultimately took down his father's empire.

I disagree with most here. Ashoka would know about Luke by now.

Ashoka was a member of the Rebellion before Luke. She knew the top leadership like Senator Organa. While she did disappear after her fight with Vader, I am sure she kept herself in the loop.

And we saw that Luke became famous in the sequels. He was in the Battle of Yavin and Endor and brought Vader’s dead body to Endor.

As soon a news spread that there was a guy name Luke Skywalker that defeated Vader and the Emperor, I am pretty sure Ashoka did the math seeing how he has Anakin’s last name.
