What fans? Because women aren't allowed to have juicy rolls in the Mandalorian right? You can't 'cancel culture' or shun people into understanding things a certain way. That has the opposite effect and reinforces their beliefs. If she understands that she supports the dark side but in fiction plays someone who fights the dark side then she is more likely to come to her senses. I like, no love, her character even if she is politically confused. In short, we need her to fight the evil empire whether in fiction or RL. And let's cut the crap. It's not as if Disney is the most honest company in the first place. If you're going to boycott and actress, then don't be a hypocrite, you're going to have to boycott the whole company too. Or you can change them.

reply

Who's politically confused?

reply

I think he is referring to Gina. Extremists from any camp like to call anyone who doesn't agree with them "confused", "stupid", "sheeple" and so on.

reply

The dangers of making political statements in a society that's 50/50 politically divided....

reply

correction 51/46% divided. Then there is the 36% that sit it out who are probably more like the 51% but are all or nothingists. But at least society is less apathetic today than it was 4 years ago.

reply

Why are the 36% probably more like the 51%?

reply

Umm - no - if you send a letter to every person, I'd venture most people will fill it out, even if they hate both creeps vying for power. In many other countries, elections day is a holiday - people don't have to work - they are given a day off to go to vote. In the US.... no such luck, but then..... corporations are people, why would anyone expect US to be governed by reason or logic? Now you'll have a man older than pope (when he became the pope) as the president - which is even more surreal. Lunacy and idiocracy have merged.

reply

only left wing cucks and SJW's don't like her.

Real men and women love her.

Twitter is not a good barometer for what fans want, and articles like this hand-pick the most controversial tweets to put in their articles. Note the article did not mention or use tweets from the fans that support her.

IMO, Twitter is a haven for the most opinionated and far-left jerks on the internet. Go do a survey on the street or at a Star Wars convention and you'll find a whole lot of "I really don't care" in regards to this 'controversy.'

reply

Why it was a great episode? Cara Dune was awesome in it. Who cares what her personal opinions are.

reply

So, you shared a story from wegotthiscovered.com?

reply

That's their problem. Carano is fantastic, and what a great episode 12 was.

reply

It's not a high enough percentage of "fans" to even worry about. Just a few voices on twitter that are easy to ignore. In fact the way you typically run into them is when you're looking for something to complain about.
