Clint Eastwood?

Anyone else think the Mandalorian sounds like a young Clint Eastwood?

reply

Yes. I even commented on this last night!

reply

Good to know it's not just me, was the comment on this forum?

reply

Haha, no, I mentioned it to my wife while we were watching the latest episode!

reply

Fair enough makes sense.

reply

The whole series is basically a space spaghetti western.

reply

Yeah i've noticed that. The ep with the marshall was very western.

reply

And to think the Marshall himself voiced the Clint Eastwood character (“The Spirit of the West”) in “Rango”

reply

I said that while watching the very first episode of season 1. I may even have posted here about it back then. He sounds exactly like Eastwood in Leone's westerns. I have to believe that is no accident.

reply

Yeah I noticed it from the start as well. The whole thing looks like a Western set in space, even then Tatooine has always been more like the Wild West.

It did sound like him, and to add to the discussion here. It is no accident that the show feels like a western. If you think about it, Star Wars is basically a western in space. Heck, Han Solo is the typical cynical gunfighter.

reply

Agreed!
