Love the low reviews calling out the movie makers for altering their display of history. There should have been a disclaimer before the movie started stating that this version is not the real version but an alternate version but I guess that would prevent them from brainwashing a group of people into thinking it was all the bad white man's fault for slavery in Africa.

Yeah, I'm particularly appalled by the RT ratings of TWK, both being in the high 90s whilst the latest Disney remake, Pinocchio, has been savaged into the opposite low end by both parties! In my opinion, BOTH movies are highly egregious in their own ways.

What makes you so susceptible to brainwashing? Was there anything in the opening title or closing credits that said this film was a true story?

If the film does not say based on a true story, then chances are it is complete fiction. Why did you think a film about a fictional person was anything but not real? Were there any real characters in the film other than Ghezo?

reply

Even IF it says it's based on a true story then the chances are it's complete fiction. "Based on a true story" and "inspired by true events" are code for "we made it up and added some real names and events to our made up story"

reply

Do you and those people care about historical accuracy in other movies? Or just the ones about black women?

reply

I care about it a great deal. Either be accurate or call the movie a fantasy

You hate Braveheart, then.
