that was funny, but the movie was good. missed the chance to be great, but still worth seeing.

Hey Dude is an actual song by Beatallica (from their 2007 album Sgt Hetfield's Motorbreath Pub Band). I reckon neither Boyle, Curtis nor their production partners knew about this. I expected more from Boyle too, this is very bland as fantasy-comedies go.

"Hey Dude" was a bit of Bill Maher's standup routine a long time ago. The premise was that he went to a concert and there was a younger girl behind him singing it as Hey Dude... iiirc.
