Not enough Beatles

As a Beatles fan I was really really looking forward to this, but came out so dissapointed.

I just felt like there wasn't enough time spent exploring his music career and the references to The Beatles.

Too much time was spent on this insipid love story that we all knew what was gonna happen from the start.

This film had a unique premise which I wish was explored more, there's too many predictable love stories in the world already. *sigh*.

That sounds pretty typical of today's movies. They always make sure they get everyone falling in love, and making more tax payers, then getting divorced, and doing it all over again. They literally cannot make a movie without shoving sex and love down our throats at every turn.

reply

Yeah sex and love are truly horrible things

I'll finish your sentence:
Sex and love are truly horrible things....when they are used to manipulate people.

reply

Not my sentence.

reply

yes, it was mine that you tried to truncate, so i finished it.

It was actually Sgt. Rutter's Only Darts Club Band.
Let me introduce to you:
Major Happy's Up-And-Coming Once Upon A Good Time Band.

and also not Black but The Rutles (a.k.a. The Mauve Album):

Reporter: Why did you pick the mauve colour for the cover?

Ron: Well, me and Chastity have been wearing mauve clothes as a protest agains't the war. Red is the colour of violence, ya know. And white is the colour of peace. So, when you mix peace into war you get mauve.

Reporter: Does the number on each album have a significance?

Dirk: Yes, we are going to be holding a raffle and the person with the winning number gets to have dinner and tea with Stig.

My faves were Revolting, Tragical History Tour, Shabby Road, Let It Rot, the live Album The Rutles At The Che Stadium, I really enjoyed the delve into the recordings called Archaeology and also the album Lunch created for the Circle of Hay show was very very good (only available online now).

Can even be broken down to

and

US: https://www.earcandymag.com/rutlesdisc2-1010.htm

Rutle's releases.

In the US there was an Album called Hey Dude, so I believe Ed Sheeran was dropping a huge hint in the film that he remembered The Rutles.

Also is it a coincidence that the person playing Jack in this film looks like he could be Stig O'Hara's son or his son's son, or his sons sons son ... I think not.

Let me guess, George Harrison's classic "Taxman" wasn't on the playlist?
