Interesting subject but all over the place

It is very difficult to follow the story in this series. Writing is a disaster and the cuts often look very amateurish. All in all it looks like a low budget production. I have finished watching it and I can‘t believe this series ever got made. The stories are so bad and disconnected that nothing really works. Story lines just appear and disappear for no reason. I wish I never spent my time on this.
