When Push Comes to Shove

make sure there is a body... just saying...

reply

haha yeah but it was like 48 hours after, with the fall from such a height, the winter cold and ice cold water of the river they couldnt expect her to be alive.

the twist at the end was pretty cool I really didn't expect it, when she suddenly appeared I thought one of the parents was dreaming.

reply

was obvious very early on but the main character actress is great so I stuck it out

The body of the girl was shown in the movie though which makes the twist contradictory. The movie has a lot of things that don't make sense with this being one. It was somewhat entertaining but the plot falls apart if you start examining it.

edit: I was incorrect, the shot of the body is in a dream sequence.

"The body of the girl was shown in the movie though"

It was a nightmare the mom had.

reply

You are correct. For some reason I remembered that shot being when the dad went down looking for her at the beginning. Thanks for letting me know.

Just saw this movie last night finally, I realize the body being shown is in a dream sequence, but what bothered me is it was the "mom's" dream who was not even there and they show the body in the exact outfit and detailed of where it could be laying. It was intentional to keep driving you away from "The Lie".

Yeah... Cheap trick... but it worked... lol

When I first watched that scene I thought she was dreaming of her own daughter, hence the nightmare and the anguish. A bit like "what if it had been my daughter" moment. I've watched that scene again a couple of times and I still can't tell if it's Britney or Kayla (dressed like Britney). Nose, mouth, eyebrows and ears look more like Joey King than Devery Jacobs.
