Why was the pot plant moved? SPOILER ALERT

[spoiler] I know it may have just been a way for the true murderer to look like she was just an innocent detective looking for clues and trying to figure out how the crime played out but [/spoiler] why was the plant pot by the pool moved? I may not have noticed why or maybe I forgot....can anyone enlighten/remind me?

its not a big deal, i dont think. the family were cleaning up the crime scene, hosing it down, etc, and left the pot in a different place. the whole point was simply to indicate to the cop that the scene had been tampered with.

Yep I agree with this, that family was so incredibly stupid.

They were but I found their scenes to be quite funny. I thought the scenes were well written and though they were taking the situation seriously, their actions and dialogue provided some nice comic relief.
