Didnt expect Annie demise at the end, normally the lead character would survive the horror ordeal someway or other, its also weird that she is part of the cult(her kneeling headless corpse) unknowingly?

I think they were in control of her body at that point. She wasn't part of the cult.

hmmm her deceased body state is the same as her dead mom, I guess her mom is an unwilling participant like her as well.

The ending blew my mind

The visuals were disturbing as fuck. The guy catching fire out of nowhere. Annie floating in the air decapitating herself. The headless bodies bowing. The freaky mannequin with the crown. And all topped off with the speech about Paimon

Perfect horror ending. Dark endings are a dime a dozen, but few do them right. Rosemary's Baby, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, The Stepford Wives. Hereditary is a part of this list
