Not set in any particular time

The mansion is ancient and not a sign of modern technology is in sight, yet the woman is dressed in contemporary clothes.

The first two stories are clearly set in the 50s and 60s, but the third one (the dying wife) is ambiguous. In the woman's own story, she is watching a tube tv, but the movie she is watching appears to be a slasher movie from the 80s that has been around for awhile. The stove is old and listening to the radio for news is so not today. But again, her clothes are modern.

I love when movies do this. Napoleon Dynamite did, Wes Anderson films sometimes do it, and the results are amusing.
