The PROPER ending...

...or at least a post credits scene would’ve been to have another caped figure catching his mother as she was about to hit the ground. That’s how you end that movie. Why else make this sort of movie if you’re not gonna have Superman square off with his evil brother in sequels? Missed opportunity.

reply

Maybe you didn't understand what you were watching but they CAN'T do that, this is in no way related to DC or Superman & if they had tried it, they'd be sued to the point where this movie wouldn't have been released. Get a clue.

reply

Thank you for clearing this up psychotic comic book loving manboy. I mean they showed a ship who crash landed from another planet spawning a boy in god damn cape flying around doing supernatural things but oh no let’s not tie it into Superman at all. Lmao. Since we’re having guys flying around in capes doing bad things why can’t you have an unidentifiable figure flying around in the end doing good things??

reply

Then don't ask, weirdo.

reply

They never called the main character Clark Kent or Superman or used any of those copyrighted symbols, so that was fine. If they actually use Superman, then it's a copyright violation.

reply

Exactly. These comic book psychos think they have all the answers.

reply

That's what Jeepster was trying to explain lol

reply

It's not a bad idea, dramatically, but I think a main idea of the film is the uniqueness of Brandon and his existence on earth. There are no others like him, and therefore there is no defense against him. That's where both the wonder and the terror originate.

reply

Because that would be incredibly boring.

Another caped figure catching his mother . . . love it! Director David Yarovesky did say there's more to the story, if the movie does well at the box office. With the mid credits scene, I got the sense that "more to the story" means aliens are using Earth as an arena and the voice that tells Brandon to take the world is his corner man, his Mickey; the world is the prize.

Or Bizarro Superman; https://moviechat.org/tt7752126/Brightburn/5cd9fe737b614e1571d68dd9/Bizzaro-Superman?reply=5d34f51c6e24074946bed686

I'm glad they didn't TBH and was surprised they didn't do the typical Hollywood ending

reply

Typical hollywood ending is to end a film im a sad or negative note. You're preference is what's typical now.
