Guilty pleasure

This film has very little surprises or twists. It is a family drama set during an impending global disaster. There was no CGI overload that you would expect from directors like Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich. You were not being overly manipulated by scenes with a child actor and there was no American triumphalism. All a welcome relief. I still enjoyed it as a decent piece of entertainment. Not a classic, but a Friday night popcorn movie.

That sounds very watchable - especially with Morena Baccarin.
