Its not across the Atlantic. Greenland is in North America.

reply

no that doesn't check out.

reply

Some of the ocean west of Greenland (in the lower) side is considered a part of the Atlantic ocean and you can surely take that path to Greenland. However this is only a small part of the ocean so the to use the word across is misleading since its generally used when traveling from one side to the other between the continents. And yes Greenland definitely is a part of North America geographically although politically it is European because of its ties with Denmark.

reply

learn geography boy.

reply

Could you please tell me what exactly is wrong in my statement and why? Do you disagree that Greenland is geographically in North-America?

reply

because its not.

reply

You gotta be trolling here? Of course, Greenland is physiographically a part of the continent of North America... their flying route must have been chiefly across Canada... Though still an insanely long route for such a small aeroplane.

Greenland is the world's largest island, located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Greenland is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark.

reply

Denmark having control over it does not change the fact that geographically it is in North-America

reply

true, but its located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans...so they had to fly over the Atlantic...

reply
