You can hate on it but it is amazing.

This movie is colorful it is beautiful it is unique it doesn't have to be the Joker, it doesn't have to be Shazam and most importantly it doesn't have to be a Marvel film. DC is doing good things. This movie doesn't have to make a billion dollars to be called good. What about Antman and the Wasp? It did nothing new, nothing creative, nothing fun. What about Captain Marvel? Marvel is afraid of making mistakes. Captain Marvel maybe did make over a billion dollars, but I tell you nobody will remember it. DC DID A LOT OF MISTAKES. And because of those mistakes, it is becoming great. Ewan Mcgregor steals the show in every scene and he is amazing. This movie wasn't perfect but it is innovative and fresh.

They should had kept Black Mask alive for future appearances, but I guess they needed some big 'huzzah' moment for the protagonists.

reply

I don't think so. Because of Marvel, everyone thinks superhero movies should have sequels and they don't why can't they just be their own thing.

reply

His comic debut is movie worthy putting him here instead of a Batman movir was stupid

reply

It was awful , terrible plot , just a waste , is that u patti jenkins?

reply

Have you even seen this movie????

reply

Ewan Mcgregor stealing the show in every scene he's on? lol. I don't think we watched the same film. He was one of the worst parts.

reply

Weird.

Ewan McGregor was the only thing I enjoyed about this movie.

reply

It was just such a poorly developed character. Suddenly he's wearing this mask. Ummm, why? What is the reasoning here? DC insist on just spitting characters out with zero to little development.

reply

Yes. That I do agree with. His character was pretty shoddily developed, but I liked the humor he was bringing, as I found the rest of the humor in the movie to fall completely flat.

The way he screamed "Why is this HAPPENING TO ME??!!" like he was completely oblivious to the fact he is a criminal overlord had me cracking up.

reply

I enjoyed this movie, if people don't then I'm fine with that. Not everybody has to like the same things.

Nor does everything have to be about Marvel vs DC. I thought this one was fun, and enjoyed watching it at the cinema. So I don't know what else I want.

This and frankly I am so sick of the stupid anti Marvel Pro DC and vise versa crap that I see on here and other places online! Why can't everyone be like me and like both Marvel and DC!? Why does it seem most everyone on this site that comes to these boards does nothing but bash Marvel and praise DC or bash DC and praise Marvel!? Seriously, TC, you are a jerk! You go out of your way to hate Marvel even though they have had their share of failed movies (Punisher War Zone failed miserably at the box office). Seriously, why can't people like both Marvel and DC!?

reply

Nobody said they dislike Marvel but I think you don't see that DC rushed and made a horrible cinematic universe just because Marvel's cinematic universe was really good and they got scared. I am happy that DC is going in the right direction and doing good things. The only reason I PREFER DC over Marvel because I grew up with The Dark Knight trilogy and the Dark Knight is my favorite movie.

reply

I admit, I grew up watching the Superman and Tim Burton/Joel Shaumacher Batman movies but I always wished that there were good Marvel movies at the time. All we had outside those were Howard the Duck which was crap and a crappy Captain America movie where Red Skull is an ordinary looking man through out most of the film. We didn't even have a Spider-Man film til I was 16. I like Batman Begins and Dark Knight too. Though Batman Begins didn't come out til I was 19. But your comment of, "it doesn't have to be a Marvel film." made it sound like you were prejudice against Marvel films.

reply

At least War Zone got the gore and violence right,I kinda expected a big blood bath with Harley, Black Mask and Zasaz

reply

I frankly thought War Zone's violence was too cartoonish most of the time. The violence at the beginning with the attack at the Mob party was good and so was Jigsaw's origin but after that it got way too cartoonish. And not just with the violence. Loony Bin Jim was like something out of Mad TV. Then there is that dumb over the top scene at the end with Jigsaw acting like Uncle Sam in front of the gangsters with patriotic music playing. That was like something out of Adam West's Batman. There are other things I dislike. I felt Microchip didn't feel right in the film since they obviously were basing a lot of it off the Garth Ennis comics where he wasn't present (except that one where Micro turns into a bad guy and Frank kills him). But the whole thing just didn't feel right and Jigsaw acted way too cartoonish even outside the scene I mentioned. Which just doesn't go along well with the tone of the Punisher to me. But to each his own. I am in the minority liking Thomas Jane's Punisher and wanted to see a continuation of that. I frankly only liked Netflix Punisher in the Daredevil show and didn't like what they did with him in his own show. But that is for another discussion.

reply

I thought Jane's Punisher was good too, minus the cops, gnucci fam and the viglante squad it felt like Welcome Back Frank and part of the 2001 comic series.

In Punisher Max a lot of the gore is crazy or in just about anything Ennis writes(Jennifer Blood or the Boys)

reply

Unique. And not at all like the Deadpool films. Not one bit...
