My review having decided to view the movie

The overall feel of the movie is that it drags a lot and is not a great action piece. The exception may be the beanbag launcher attack in the police station. The potential for credible action rests with the characters Huntress and Songbird except that their contribution is largely not used well. There is a lot of low impact moves from the two.

Characterisation is a strong point of the movie for most characters with the exception of HQ. The problem of HQ is that she prattles on about things and we don't care - it has no impact. What is strongest about her portrayal is her girlish cheeky bemusement and outlook generally - it's what we see about her more than what we hear. She seems an awkward action player but a better fragile yet robust tragic personality. All the women protagonists have a sexy vibe and look great, and have a viable justification for rebelling and destroying the power of their male enemies and oppressors. However, I didn't feel absorbed by the material which reflects the limited success of presenting a well balanced movie.
