Can someone shed some light on that thing Kendall did with the AA batteries at that bodega, when he bought cigarretes? It happened at the end of episode 2, season 2 - "Vaulter".

No particular reason for him tossing them into the bin Jack, he was just going through a bad time mentally, and a little bit of kleptomania had started to creep in. His kleptomania was mentioned a couple of episodes later because he had been caught in the act and was going to be charged, but his Father Logan had the charges buried, but anyway it seems he grew out of it as his mental health started to improve.
