How Can I Not Watch A Movie With This Title?

I came across this on tubi, and HAD to watch a movie titled Babes With Blades. I knew it would be pulp, at best, and likely ScyFy-channel type crud. This is rough. This is about 2 fingers above amateur; but it it also inventive and passionate. The lead actress, who is also a stunt person (like Jackie Chan) is DYNAMIC, graceful and poised. She reminded me of Sandahl Bergman in Conan the Barbarian, albeit about half a foot shorter. The narrative surprises: cunning alliances struck of the kind usually beyond the imagination of the typical direct-to-video potboiler scriptsmith. Unusually good cinematography for a C-level production. Owes much to the Riddick saga: the last warrior from a warrior planet is enslaved by those who obliterated her race, but finds a friend who can teach her the fighting forms of her race and gets revenge and frees an enslaved planet, but is a Babe. (Her planet had 2.5 times the gravity of ANY OTHER planet in the universe, but she has been on THIS planet since she was a child. She has inherited an anatomy that is predisposed to the higher gravity, but her muscles have not been EXPOSED to the constant level of higher resistance. Duh!) The finale is satisfying, albeit predictable, as they usually are in this milieu, but it’s worth seeing if you like sword-wielding Warrior women.
