Harfoots and their storyline drag this show down

The episodes where their story line is omitted are much better than when they are present. They feel out of place and just drag the show down. It is clear they are just there because they wanted to have "hobbits" in there but their story feels tacked on.

So what do you reckons the story with their new pet - the big friendly giant?

You mean they drag the show down...further.

The two episodes without Harfoots so far have been fantastic. I don't like it at all that there are Hobbits this prominent in the Second Age. Sauron is not supposed to even really know about them and not see them as a threat at all, but here they are living and moving around just north of what will become Mordor, and they may even have ventured into Mordor in their recent episode just to get a front row seat to Doom.

After all, the last thing Sauron expected was for a couple Hobbits to enter Mordor and toss his Ring into the cracks of doom.

That storyline is much more relatable than Galadriel's.

By the way, I believe the meteor man must be Sauron.
- Sauron has not shown up elsewhere. Meanwhile the meteor man needs an identity.
- The girl says the meteor man is "good". The writers will naturally want to lead us away from where they're actually going in order to provide maximum surprise.
