Art has value as it is and adaptations should aspire to be true to the author's vision.

Anyone who reads The Lord of the Rings and then says that Tolkien was not a conservative is either a liar or a fool.

Not going to read whatever left wing propaganda that is. Tolkien referred to his political beliefs as "leaning towards anarchy", although he hated communism and supported Francisco Franco. He was also so Catholic that he insisted on saying the Mass liturgy in Latin. Worth noting that the fake-ass fans loving Rings of Power used to call him racist and said the orcs were meant to be black people. Now they pretend to love him and claim he's on "their side" just because the show has a black elf. This is the modus operandi of bad actors who subvert fandoms. They infiltrate, destroy and move on.
