That was beyond stupid … at least she didn’t jump with the armor on …

The sequence was bizarre. No one can swim the width of an ocean and the whole 'rapturing up' to heaven/elvish western homeland thing was never explained. I thought it was going to be revealed as a Sauronian illusion or some such thing proving Galadriel to have been right to jump overboard despite the evident hopelessness of doing so. But no such revelation was forthcoming. This is just crap writing and directing I'm afraid.

Ancient Tolkien elves are basically superheroes. I had no problem with any abilities presented.
