I like it...


I like it because it doesn’t take itself really seriously, but I think the thing I like the most about it is this:

They’ve managed to write a male lead who is capable and has emotions (what the ladies have been asking for of men for generations) and they’ve also managed to write a female lead who starts off as a cold-hearted archetypal male character (strong) who is having to relearn and reconnect to her emotional side (what men have been asking for through the last couple decades of post-feminism).

Here’s hoping it helps reprogram society into one where men can be strong, and show emotion, and women can be strong and show emotion.

Kudos for the creators for exploring this new ideal. Hopefully the first of many shows to find that balance in this enlightened era.
