I don't think that percentage is that tiny anymore and the influence is getting stronger - just look at the current BLM bullshit going on in the US and elsewhere. BLM leaders openly talk about wanting a political revolution (towards marxism!) and apparently, that flies. People are too stupid, they hear "against racism!" and stop to think critically.

I want to watch a movie to be entertained or moved, not to be subject to a political agenda. Had I known ahead of time, I would've skipped it.
