I appreciate that this calls attention to Judy, but I don't think the heavy, disco beat does anything to enhance her vocal.

Meh.....I just don't feel the merge of styles. It comes across much more as an experiment....or cash grab because of the movie.

This rarely works, like a few from the Billie Holiday remix album.

Agreed. But anything that keeps the current generation from saying,"Judy who?" is a positive thing for her memory. 🌈

For the sake of discussion, I think that Judy sounds like Judy.

It's the heavy disco beat that's making a mess of things. Sounds like two different songs playing at the same time. 🙄

Not her's specifically. Think my issue was with her voice, the style is very dated, sounds dated. She had an amazing voice, it just doesn't match the modern beat in my ears.
