Business about the blanks....

Seemed a bit contrived is all. How did the evil husband happen to have blanks in that caliber? If Arvin was to survive she simply could have missed or singed him, it was small caliber piece, after all. Also seemed likely she wasn't a gun person & if he'd simply have unloaded it it's doubtful she would have noticed.

Otherwise agree that it's both a compelling story, & somewhat empty.
