They might as well have set the show in Colorado

In the shows opening, text on screen tells us they have a satellite base in Colorado, one in Yorkshire and the one in Australia.

The majority of the characters are all American’s, and the out-back setting could easily be mistaken for New-Mexico or something and there’s hardly anything that stands this show out as being in Australia or Australian as opposed to America.

Apparently the American satellite surveillance base is at a place called ‘Buckley’ in Colorado, so they might as well have just set the entire thing there in my opinion.
