Why warn about suicide before the episode ?

Netflix you spoiled episode 4 with this warning it was bleeding obvious what was going to happen with the warning and ruined the episode.

I understand importance of suicide but put the damm suicide support after the episode then before it spoiling it.

I thought the same thing. Woke culture I guess. Don't want to traumatize any snowflakes.

reply

Yes, it seems odd to do this for a show that is rated MA. Perhaps it's a requirement.

reply

yes it be like warning people before watching a star is born about it... then you would be watching that movie knowing it was coming..

it's fine to talk about it but put it at the end of the damm episode! what is next we warn people about each violent scene coming up?? what about all the domestic violence things happening in 'you' etc etc

reply

I can see it being OK for something that is rated PG-13, but it doesn't make sense to warn viewers if you are watching content that is rated R or MA. You need to have the expectations that there will be adult themes or images being presented.

reply

Did you just post a spoiler for 'a star is born'?

reply

You didn't already know that the main character was traumatized by a fan committing suicide in front of them? You gotta see the movie. It was the whole reason for Gaga's tragic downfall. I highly recommend the movie! It was sadder than young Rose's death when the Titanic sunk.

reply

Yet there is no warning about not stalking, abducting, and murdering people. 🤣

reply

That's because those scenes are a given with this show

reply

i hate it , they do it with rape scenes too , but bloody murder , who cares?

reply

Well, Suicides are at an all time high nowadays. That warning could help someone decide its just not for them to see that right now.

reply

and they did it again on the final episode of season 4 so I knew straight away Joe was going to attempt suicide because of that stupid warning ruining it with a clear spoiler

reply

If they're near the edge then they're going to need something more than a text warning on TV.

Either way, not my problem. Go see a shrink if you're feeling suicidal.

reply

Be a better person, dont be so dismissive of people struggling. If that spoiler helps even one person out, then its worth it. Despite how upset you are about a spoiler.

reply

Totally agree.
