The "uncaged" part definitely leads to much better action as they have more room to roam around but the characters are probably worse than the first one.

I like this one better too than the first one. Both are enjoyable films though.

Enjoyed it a lot..even ho I almosty dozed off, the shark came in no time..."villian" right on cue.

It doesn't seem from what I've seen in the trailer that they go 47 meters down in this one. True?

Don't see how anyone could like this better than the first movie, whilst I enjoyed all the cave/temple scenery the sharks just looked so ridiculously fake it ruined the the whole movie.

I liked them both but the first one is on top in my official rankings. :)

8/10 for this cool shark movie and 10/10 for the first 47.

I liked the second one, and it did build a little creeping dread, but overall it lacks the primal fear of the first one. Another strike against the second is the storyline. The caves/ruins are cool, but the sharks aren’t believable at all. The first one has a premise that can happen, and that gets the viewer involved.
