Was Phoenix’s body really that emaciated, or was it done with camera trickery?

He can play Mr. Glass in a remake of Unbreakable then (If white people are allowed to play a role that was previously played by another ethnicity. I'm not altogether sure the rules of this yet, and if it only works one way).

He had to lose a lot of weight to get the part of the joker. The character joker was ALWAYS a skinny tooth pick body type so Joaquin had to lose a lot of weight since he wanted to play the part of the joker.

Harsh...because Joaquin Phoenix wasn't even fat before.
