Shouldn't CNN be more worried about Birds of Prey?

That movie stars a crazy woman and shows her gunning people down. Its being sold as empowering and fun while everybody is saying this movie will inspire shootings while the former shows gun violence.

Why would it be worried about Birds of Prey? There's no burgeoning female version of an Incel movement. Harley Quinn has never been glamorized as an anti-hero or made relatable to crazy young women.

On top of that BoP will probably glamorize Harley Quinn much more than this did Joker, who is still depicted as a terrible person and a villain even if it shows the circumstances that made him that way.

Either way they're just movies and anyone who uses a movie as "inspiration" for violence was likely crazy to start with and would have just found another inspiration even if it wasn't the movie.

The worry comes from the Aurora killer combined with "incel" culture that is looking to lash out at society for treating them so harshly (boo hoo). Birds of Prey is trying to capitalize on female empowerment. It can irritate the incels but all it really does is get them to watch and comment on youtube videos.

Thats literally what Harley is doing in the birds trailer shes gunning people down that did her wrong and throws a knife at a pic of joker and giving a nice monologue. But she's got legs,boobs and is cute so shes empowering and wouldn't be acknowledged as a psycho

Harley isn't involuntarily celibate. There was never an Aurora "connection." It was always an Aurora "assumption" the media wanted to get in front of.

Anyway, it's obvious you aren't here for a discussion and are just looking for an argument. So I'll leave you to it.
