Anybody watched "The King Of Comedy" before going to see "Joker"?

I did because I had never seen it and heard about the similarities. It's interesting to see DeNiro on the opposing side of the character he played in The King of Comedy.

I saw it in the theatre when I was a kid because Jerry Lewis was in it. Didn’t understand it when I was a kid back then, because I went in expecting classic Jerry Lewis.
But now it’s pretty good and understandable

I saw it last year and thought it was one of De Niro's best performances which is saying a lot.

There is a scene where Rupert is being chased, and it is basically the same as the final scene of Joker
