So will Phoenix join the DCEU if it's a hit?

Or will they simply recast Jared Leto now he's got that Morbius movie?

No. This Joker is set in a different universe,

DCEU is dead. They're making separate universe movies now, just like their more successful animated films.

Every movie has it's own unconnected universe from now on. Which they can connect in the future via multiverse, if the chance comes. Pretty smart move actually.

Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam are connected and so will the sequels.

They're gonna get back on the team-up train real quick. Aquaman and Wonder Woman are both very popular, and i'm sure the new Batman movie is gonna be a hit. They screwed up big time trying to go full Justice League right outta the gate. They should have started with a Trinity movie sort of situation.

But I'm not convinced how they can interconnect this new Joker movie into Wonder Woman and Aquaman. They must be separate universes.

Like I said, they could make a multiverse movie in the future if they want.

I think this movie is a true one off. Phoenix is an older guy and this movie seems to be set in the past. I don't see how they could possibly attach this to whatever the new Batman is gonna be.

Agreed. No way Phoenix is going to be showing up in future superhero films, trying to fight off Batman or whatever. I'm 95% sure he wouldn't even want to.
