NolanTards gonna hate this

Actually this is the first movie in the superhero genre that I have looked forward to since Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy ended. Mainly because to me it is a “movie adaptation of a comic book character” vs a “comic book movie”.

Down here in Australia they were expecting people who saw Nolan's Batman trilogy to come along as we got a teaser trailer of his next film Tenet before Joker. Apparently it was hard cut onto the Joker film as I saw the 70mm print version and we had the projectionist chat about it all before the film started.

So far though not a negative reaction from any Nolanite that I have seen.

Nolan Fantards, actually. That's the correct term.

There are 3000+ voters on IMDB who've rated this movie a 1. Guess who?

Nolan fans were so obsessed that they used to rate a Nolan movie straight away a 10 even without seeing it. There used to be so many votes even before its commercial release, the number of voters exceeded far than those who actually watched in any festival.

I hope some of them must have grown up and become mature. Surely, they'd appreciated this film.

Actually, people who like Nolan movies are the more likely to like this one. It's the same style than Dark Knight or Inception: complex themes mixed with geek stories.

I'll give you one guess as to who voted this a 1. They're the same group that voted TDK a 1. It's the other side man. The Marvel kids.

I'll give you one guess as to who voted this a 1. They're the same group that voted all popular movies a 1. Idiots and trolls, that's who. I'm both a "Nolantard" and "Marvel kid" and I loved it, so stop blaming that shit on people that like specific things.

reply

Easy man, the people who like Marvel movies are in the hundreds of millions. Not even close to all of them are unreasonable trolls. Same with Nolan fans, DC fans, PSX fans, et all. But there's that 1% who hates the other side. And I guarantee the lion's share of haters did the same to this and all other DC movies. I'm not saying it's right. But to say it doesn't exist is folly.

Is the whole Marvel vs DC fanboy rivalry even a thing? Do people actually blindly love everything by one and hate everything by the other?
