Tory Logic

I'm probably 16 years old.
I'm taking care of my sick mother and younger brother.
We have almost no money.
I work two jobs.
I was expelled from school for a brawl that I started.
I'm on probation and doing community service.
Still trying to get my GED.

So not only will continue going to my karate dojo that got me into this mess everyday after school, I will commit several crimes, including assault and battery which would definitely send me to the juvie that I narrowly avoided, and leave no one to care for my family.

She does seem a bit crazy so maybe the (lack of) logic there fits?

It's no worse than Robby who hates and resents his dad, and therefore ends up siding with the guy who made his dad who he is.

She's just that 'badass'. That's what it takes to be Cobra Kai under John Kreese. She needs to take it further imo. She needs to get pregnant herself, on welfare, smoking cigs, and shooting up drugs to make the experience more badass. She's gotta look like a heroine addict.

Don't forget tattoos. She needs to waste lots of hard-earned dough dirtying herself up with tattoos. Prostitution would be kick-ass, too.

reply

She's indebted to Kreese for handling that creep. So she's under his command again.

She's an idiot. I can't stand her character and hope they remove her and bring back Aisha! :)

As much as I enjoy the show, the writing is not always the best. Tory's behavior during the brawl was over the top but at least the motive for starting it was understandable. The writers seem to not want to make her a one note character by giving her a sympathetic family situations where she has a sick mother and a little brother to take care of, while also staving off the advances of a creepy sexual predator landlord.

Between all that, and working two jobs it's definitely hard to believe that she would even have time for karate, let alone all the random delinquent Cobra Kai shinanigans & doubling down on her pyscho grudge when she should be pretty well over being mad at Sam. Tory is a bit of a mess and so is Robby, which is why they seem to be gravitating towards each other.
