Evil Straight White Men

I'm really getting tired of this tired lie. Any time I see an obvious ESWM trope, whatever it is gets rated a "1". Now call me a racist and make you feel better about yourself

You realize the lead character and main protagonist of the show, is a straight white man? Kreese was also the villain in the original movie. 30 years ago. You see, this is a sequel. Kreese isn't a new character. He's a villain now because he was the villain then. Do you understand now?

yeah in film today lots of people do try to act like the straight white male is this evil tyrant but i dont get that vibe at all in this show..

also think its dumb that people of any race gets mad if say the villian is evil and is black hispanic asian ect i mean.. someone has to be the bad guy lol

But is he really evil? He's was a soldier and is certainly ruthless. He trains his students like they are soldiers preparing for war, but that training he instills in them could save their lives one day. He also goes to bat for his students like the way he helped Tory out with her landlord. It can be a mean world out there, and sometimes a mean mentor in your corner is required to face the challenges life can throw at you

You're right that life is tough and all, but as far as Kreese goes he only watches out for someone as long as they do what he tells them to do. So I'm not buying that he actually gives a damn about Tory or any of the Cobra Kai students.

Just look what happened with Johnny. He did everything he had to do to earn Johnny's trust, then everything changed when Johnny stopped believing in his BS. I believe the same thing will eventually happen when Tory, Robbie and some of the others see for themselves what he's all about. I hope so anyways, but with Tory it's gonna be pretty tricky as she's in pretty deep. With that being said...Damnit I can't wait for season 4.
