Can we blame drugs for the complete myopia in Hollywood?

Surely these people aren't so stupid as to think continuing down the road that led to the election of Donald Trump will help the democrats. Surely they're not that stupid! It must be the cocaine, preventing them from understanding how the country actually thinks and feels.

Too bad. Hollywood used to be very good at holding a mirror to the country, for better or for worse. Now they just reflect themselves and expect people who don't make millions of dollars to play make-believe to go right along with their batty delusions.
