Total Irrelevance: Trump-Hating Emmys Hit All-Time Ratings Low

Might as well call them the SJW awards. Handmaid's Tale and SNL were purely political awards.

This news, of course, comes just days after the ratings for the MTV Awards hit their own record low.

What has to be especially galling to Colbert and his fellow social justice glitter-warriors, is that in a country of 330 million, fewer than five percent tuned in, cared to watch even a minute of the show, was not in the least interested in their Big Thinks on issues n’ stuff, including President Trump who, despite the unrelenting hate campaigns from the media and Hollywood, still holds (if you believe the polls) a 40% approval rating. We all know it is higher, especially in the only states that matter.

As Hollywood has gotten more political, more divisive, more bigoted towards Normal People, and more hateful, take a look at the nuclear fallout. America is more red, more Republican-led than at anytime since Reconstruction. On every level, Democrats have been wiped out of electoral office.

Hollywood is a total liability to its own cause.

I think they have legitimate reasons to consider Trump a buffoon and his policies corrosive, but it was admittedly tiring to hear the political angle in every speech and as the undercurrent of every major award.

I think it's fair to point out an across the boards decline in viewership for awards shows that has been a trend for the last two decades. Also juggernaut GOT was a no show due to its airing falling short of qualifying premier date. A cbs blackout in over two dozen major markets,of which my city was one, would also be a contributing factor...and finally, yes...polarization caused by a more liberal audience, all conspired and will continue to do so until awards shows and the country in general are obsolete...

Using Breitbart as a source thats a first there's a section in this article calling the Hollywood elite terrorist over the Milo Yiannopoulos, Berkeley riot back in February. Milo was on Bill Maher Live right after the incident and was just loving the publicity. I would recommend watching the Milo interview its a shame that something as twisted as him caused a riot. From what I remember he was a man that identified as gay and loved dating african Americans. Then he had extremely racist beliefs. Breibart & the GOP dumped him shortly after he spoke in support of child pornography over social media. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/trump-cpac-milo-yiannopoulos-tape-235204 he was banned from 2017s Conservative Political Action Conference I'm not saying Breibart is wrong but it's close to the last site I pick for a source about anything. They also fail to mention any sources which even Variety Magazine mentions Nielsen ratings http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/2017-emmys-ratings-1202562498/ . To people who pay attention to 45s Tweets I feel he got what he deserved with all his hate talk especially towards the Emmys & Hollywood in the past & present.
