Trailers killed any excitement for this

Not because it looks bad, but because they showed the whole movie.

reply

It definitely looked bad

reply

I didn't think it looked terrible, it did look very jump scare heavy though which I'm not a fan of.

reply

Wouldn't it have been scarier if the kid didn't use a phone to talk to dead kids and the little girl trying to save him didn't have telepathy?

I think a based in reality kidnapping would be way scarier than having paranormal/sci-fi? elements added

reply

A based in reality kindapping could be seen in bad taste by a lot of people.

reply

They all do that now.

reply

Pretty much all 80s movies trailers were like this.

reply

The 70s too. I’ve seen 70s movie trailers give away what seemed like huge spoilers.

reply

Oh really? lmao, I'm not as familiar. So I guess that probably was the norm. Now, studios are a bit more creative with their editing and fakeouts.

reply

I mean, I haven't see the whole movie yet so I don't know if the trailer showed the whole thing or not. However, for me, I'm more excited about the movie than I was before.

reply

I thought the same thing when it first dropped. Wtf happened to trailer editing?
