Snoring women?

Twice in this movie there are young women sleeping and both times they are snoring. The first time it's Sharon Tate, and then later, on the plane, Rick Dalton's wife. That's kind of unusual to see in movies. Is QT trying to say something?

I think it is just QT flexing his muscles.

Stuff like women snoring is unusual to see today in movies (comedies aside) because if filmed, usually ends up on the cutting room floor after questioning audience members during a prescreening. (Women usually have a negative reaction). Most directors know this, so they don't even bother to film it.

QT doesn't have to listen to and abide by the results of a audience poll, he has the power to shape the movie in his own way.

Only a handful of directors left with this type of power.
