I didn't want to Shazzam during the movie, but they played "California Dreaming" in the movie, but it was not the Mamma and Papa version. Anyone know who sang it?

And what a great scene.
It starts on the shot of Pitt (unseen) driving away from the Spahnn ranch(and likely driving away from death, he was tough but they could have shot him) as the 93 KHJ sponsor says "Its 5:00 pm in Los Angeles" ...the end of the day and:
Sharon Tate is emerging at sunset from the Bruin theater.
James Stacy of Lancer (Timothy Olyphant) is leaving the set on his motorcycle(in real life, Stacy would soon lose an arm and a leg to a motorcycle accident.)
Pitt is picking up Leo from his day's work on the Lancer set(a Sunday? Well, TV had to be made fast and furious for the fall)
..and its the sense of the end of the day and the end of an era that will RETURN
later in the movie as the sun sets again on al those neon signs lighting up and this time, "Baby, baby baby..you're out of time."
