Tarantinoverse

Does anyone know how it's connected?

reply

Through implication and innuendo, with a healthy dose of assumption thrown into the mix.

All due respect, but your post is as useful as one saying you don't know, with you obviously don't. All QT films are explicitly linked I believe. Vincent Vega and Mr. Blonde are brothers and the Jewish Bear has a descendant in True Romance just to name two. I'm sure OUATIH has one too.

What I am saying is that there are suggestions and callbacks, but nothing concrete has ever been stated in a film. Mr. White mentions someone named Alabama, Vince and Vic share the surname Vega, and in interviews Tarantino has stated they are brothers, Michael Parks Earl McGraw character shows up in several films, including one in which Tarantino acted in but didn't direct, and so forth. It's even implied that Django is an ancestor of Shaft, a character in a film that came out when Tarantino was 8 years old.

There are, as I said, many implications and innuendos that suggest that the films take place in a shared universe, but it's left to the audience to assume how much is fun referencing, and how much is actual evidence.

Who is his descendant in True Romance?

reply

Lee Donowitz played by Saul Rubinek. His was the movie producer trying to score the coke. Eli Roth was excellent casting as they definitely look related.

red apple ?

reply

Product placement is a connection but QT usually includes something more substantial.

reply

As mentioned above, we get Red Apple.

Here's an interesting thought. Maybe since the Golden Age of Hollywood lasted longer in the Tarantinoverse due to Manson's cult failing, people become much more savvy when it comes to old school movies and TV. That's why so many Tarantino characters know so much about movies. Just a thought.

In this movie theres Red Apple and also Kurt Russel as presumably the older brother? father? of Stuntman Mike
