I love it because it's a time capsule. That's basically the very reason I was looking forward to see it.
I'm not a Tarantino film, but I'm a 1960's counterculture fan. I love the music, the stories, the icons, the fashion, the architecture of that era.
And I was very well served.

Dialogue and acting mostly. Great camerawork and music but that was fully expected from a tarentino movie. It was a bit slow though for my taste, could have been shorter. The ending was insanely fun

No ideological underpinnings or trendy social justice fingerwagging.
Also, hippie home invasion.

The "Old Hollywood" time period setting of the film.

The humor. I laughed my ass off several times. Laughed the most when Rick Dalton was yelling at the Manson hippies in front of their car, standing in a bathrobe, while holding a blender full of margaritas. Hysterical, but also very tense as well, because you didn't know how they were going to respond, which leads me to...

The tension...wondering how it was going to end for these characters. The ranch scene and the ending in particular.

The actors in the film. I loved the DiCaprio/Pitt team up. Loved seeing them on screen together with Al Pacino. Loved the cameos. Margot Robbie is so sexy!

So, there are a few of my reasons for really enjoying this film.

Acting, production, dialogue, "historic feel," and scene with Bruce Lee.

I was 11 years old in 1969. While watching this movie, I heard my late father's voice and words many, many times!!!

The magical treat that was Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio together.
